Crystal Power
Quartz is the most plentiful mineral in the world. Yet, in its crystal form, it can be a powerful tool in healing, meditation, spiritual growth, balancing the chakras (psychic energy centers along the center of the body and up to the crown of the head) and general toning of the whole body. Crystal naturally holds, amplifies and stabilizes electric energy to the point where it is used in radio and television communication as well as computers, which could not operate without quartz crystal.
Crystals grow in the Earth although, in our terms, the growth process is very slow indeed! They began growing around 200 million years ago when water and quartz became mixed under just the right conditions of pressure and heat. Nature has located huge deposits of these crystal deep within the Earth in strategic locations and the energy from these deposits help to regulate the polar energy of our planet. Without them there might not have been any life on Earth at all!
Quartz crystals vibrate at a very controlled vibration and, as many people don’t realize, these vibrations can be controlled and transmitted by the human mind. According to esoteric metaphysical beliefs, with concentrated intention we can send the power of the crystal to heal others and ourselves. NONE of these healing methods are meant to take the place of a licensed medical practitioner! But it certainly cannot hurt to add crystal healing to what the doctor is already doing.
Ultimately, the body heals itself; it is made that way. The point of all healing, medical or non-medical is to make the conditions better so the body can heal itself easier. Crystal can help to balance the energy of the body while medical treatment is taking place to ease the transition.

Choosing, Clearing and Charging Your Crystal/s
When you get ready to acquire a crystal it is always best to go to a place, for instance a New Age store, where there are many to choose from. Take your time, handle several crystals until you pick up the one that just feels right. That is your crystal! As you choose it, it has also chosen you by your harmonic vibrations. You can also choose several different crystals for different purposes. Keep the purpose in mind as you choose and the perfect crystal will talk to you, so to speak. Some people believe that the best crystal for you will be given to you by someone else. If someone feels moved to offer you a crystal, accept it! There is always a good reason a crystal comes into your life!

If it is not possible for you to get to a New Age store or some other place where you can personally pick out your own crystal, there are many websites on the Internet where you can order them. We will list several of them at the end of this article.
Once you have your crystal, you will want to cleanse it of all the vibrations it has picked up from other people and influences along the way. The easiest, and most effective way to do this is to simply hold it under running water for at least one minute. While the water runs over it, visualize the water running through the crystal and washing away all the vibrations it has picked up. Will it to purify and cleanse itself. When you feel that it is clear - it is!
Now, you will want to energize your crystal and charge it to do whatever you may want it to do for you. The simplest way to charge your crystal is this: Hold it in your right hand (this is your sending hand) and visualize spiritual white light entering your Crown Chakra and filling you with spiritual energy. Will this energy to flow down your right arm, into and out through your hand, filling the crystal with radiant, spiritual power. When your crystal feels full of this power, end the process. Your crystal is ready for use.
There are also a couple ways to help your crystal absorb energy from the Earth and the Universe. Many people, when they first get their crystal, and after they have cleansed it and personally charged it, will bury it in the ground for 24 hours. This enables the crystal to absorb the Earth’s energy and can further strengthen its power. You can also place your crystal in sunlight for 2 to 8 hours so it can absorb the light energy of the Universe. Either or both of these methods are effective.

Ways to use your crystal
There are many ways to utilize your crystal/s. Some people hold them when they meditate for an energy charge. Other folks use a crystal cluster to purify and energize a room, and a nice crystal cluster will fit into any decor. They can be used in healing, either yourself or others, as a means of sending healing energy out into the cosmos. You can use them to balance and energize your aura and your chakras. The more you use your crystal/s, the more uses you will find for them.
Using Your Crystal In Meditation
In meditation, crystals can be used as a focal point and/or an energy amplifier. One way is to lie down when you meditate and place your crystal over your third eye, a spot above the bridge of the nose and between the eyebrows. This energizes this spiritual center and helps to bring on deeper meditations.
You can visualize your crystal absorbing radiant energy from the Universe and slowly refracting it into the basic colors of the spectrum. First red, filling your body and your aura, energizing your earthy centers. Let the red slowly fade to orange and then, after awhile, to yellow. Let the yellow slowly become green, and then blue. The blue transforms into violet or purple. And, finally, let your entire being fill with the brilliant white light of Spirit. Your body and being need all these colors and crystal can help you to absorb them.
You can also do this exercise holding your crystal in your left hand, your receiving hand. Either way is effective. The important part is for you to visualize clearly and strongly.
Using Your Crystal To Clear Your Chakras
The above exercise helps to clear and energize your chakras but, for a more direct approach, try this:
Lie on your back comfortably; perhaps you will want to utilize your favorite meditation technique to become fully relaxed.
Now: Begin your Chakra Meditation.
1st, The Root Chakra: Place your crystal on your pubic area and visualize the crystal absorbing brilliant, clear white light from above. See this light being refracted by the crystal into a bright red light which fills your lower body, from your pubis through to the base of your spine. Imagine that you feel this light energizing you materially, physically and sexually. Hold this visualization until you feel that part of your body being filled with this red energy.
2nd, The Naval or Sacral Chakra: Place your crystal at your naval, this time visualizing a brilliant orange light emanating from your crystal and flowing all the way through your body from your naval to your spine, filling the entire area. Again, maintain the visualization until you feel full and energized.
3rd, The Solar Plexus Chakra: Put your crystal on your solar plexus, the area where your ribs meet just below your breast bone. Again, picture your crystal absorbing this spiritual white light, this time refracting it into a bright, clear yellow light, filling your body in a ball of yellow light from your solar plexus back to your spine, filling you, clearing you, energizing you. When this feels complete, move on to the next chakra.
4th, The Heart Chakra: This time, place the crystal in the middle of your chest, filling you with brilliant green light, filling your heart, lungs, your entire chest back to the spine. Feel it filling you with courage and confidence. And, of course, continue until it feels right.
5th, The Throat Chakra: Place your crystal on the “V” area at the bottom of your throat. The refracted light will be brilliant blue this time, filling you entire throat and neck with blue energy. Know that this is helping you to better understand and communicate with everyone you know and meet, in this way, bringing you closer to your fellow-human. When it feels complete, move on.
6th, The Brow Chakra: This chakra is located above the bridge of your nose, between your eyebrows. It’s known, in metaphysical circles, as the third eye. Place your crystal there and visualize it filling your head with violet or purple light. Feel the tingle between your eyes as this happens. Know, deep within, that this violet light is bringing you closer to knowing the spiritual Self within you, energizing your intuitive and psychic facilities. As you do this, you should feel a great uplifting within. Feel it; enjoy it! Take your time here; this is a very important step. At its completion you will know it’s time to move on.
7th, The Crown Chakra: This is the chakra which pulls it all together for you, your connection with Universal Energy. It is located at the top of your head and extends upward and outward from there, making a real contact with the Universe. Place your crystal above your head as close to the top of the head as possible. Now, in your mind’s eye, see your crystal drawing Universal White Light into itself and transferring it into you through the top of your head. Feel your head and then your whole body completely filling up with this light energy. Feel the light traveling down your spine, energizing each of the chakras as it flows downward; then reverse its flow back up your spine. Know that each chakra is using the part of the white light it responds to in order to build your whole body’s energy higher and higher. Believe it to be true and your chakra balancing and energizing is complete!
Now: Begin your Chakra Meditation.

Using Your Crystal To Energize And Heal Yourself
Attain a deep sense of relaxation through your favorite meditation technique. Now, holding your crystal in your left hand, (your receiving hand) visualize the Universal Healing White Light entering and filling the crystal with vital energy. Feel this energy traveling up your arm, through your body and to the area that you are working on. Picture it filling the area and feel it as a healing warmth. When you feel that the area is full of light and healing warmth, know it is done.
If you’re not healing a specific ailment, then feel the vitalizing energy filling your entire body with healing light. Know that this is strengthening your mind and body. Feel the Universal Power filling you with all the strength and energy you will ever need. Feel it! Believe it to be true and it is! Remain in your meditative state for a short time, drinking in the vitality. Then return to your normal consciousness and go about your day. You are filled with the energy of the Universe!
If you’re not healing a specific ailment, then feel the vitalizing energy filling your entire body with healing light. Know that this is strengthening your mind and body. Feel the Universal Power filling you with all the strength and energy you will ever need. Feel it! Believe it to be true and it is! Using Your Crystal To Heal Others
This is where a crystal wand is very useful; it helps to concentrate the energy. Clear your mind and enter a relaxed, meditative state. When you feel deeply relaxed, visualize the person you are working on as if he or she was standing right in front of you. Hold your crystal in your right hand (your sending hand) and feel the clear white healing light filling it to overflowing. When your crystal feels fully energized to you, hold it out in front of you, pointing it at your envisioned subject. Now, will the healing energy to flow out of the crystal and directly into your subject. See it filling his or her body and know that he or she is being filled with this healing light and renewed to perfection. Believe it to be true with no doubt inyour mind and the healing is complete! It might be a good idea not to mention this healing to the person involved. That way, if he or she has feelings of doubt, they won’t get in the way of the healing. Remember! These methods are NOT meant to take the place of a licensed medical practitioner! By all means this person should keep seeing the doctor. But it certainly can’t hurt to add crystal healing to what the doctor is already doing.
