There are many forms of divination in to psychic readings. Tarot and Astrology are both enormously widespread. There are, however, various other forms of prediction that are infrequently used, but which will work just as well.

 CASTING STONES:

Few individuals use casting stones today. It is a very old method of forecasting the future. This is a style of utilizing crystals and gemstones for foretelling the future. There are various ways of using casting stones and each intuitive reader needs to find the one which suits them best.

The casting stones are a collection of crystals and gemstones that are thrown onto a flat surface and “read” by the psychic. These stones may be bought in a kit, with a small drawstring bag to stow them in. Most individuals who utilize the stones prefer to select each of their stones individually so they can get a sensitivity from each stone, as to its vibration. When the stone feels desirable, they “discern” it is a stone they need for their kit.

Smaller stones are most acceptable, but not too tiny; they would be too easy to lose. They should also have one flat side. In mineral and crystal stores, they call this shape a cabochon, and just about any stone you are looking for can be found in this structure.

You will possibly decide on your stones with their magical qualities in mind. Tiger Eye is an yellow/orange stone that is usually linked to light, clarity, warmth, heat, daylight, the Sun, and so forth. This stone could also be linked with the night, vision, and cats. It all depends on the question which has been asked, or what the subconscious of the reader leads them to. Amethyst, as with all purple stones, is generally coupled to spiritual vision, and mysticism. If you are a beginner, you’ll need to buy one of the numerous books available on thIs subject.

These stones can be cast in various ways. Some psychics desire to produce a cloth to cast the stones upon. Many times a circle is drawn on the cloth that is divided into four matching parts. Each one of the four parts of the circle are represented by a different direction: Air-East, Fire-South, Water-West, and Earth-North. Air has to do with the mind and the color yellow, Fire is connected with energy and action and the color red, Water is coupled with love, relationships and the emotions, also psychic abilities and purple and blue stones, Earth is the more practical and tangible, and connects with dark earthy tinted stones.

 CRYSTAL BALLS AND CRYSTALS:

Crystals are employed in a similar way to casting stones. Contrary to the fortune tellers in old movies, the Crystal Ball doesn’t open like a window to display scenes of what is happening, or what is ahead. The Crystal Ball is merely used as a focal point for insight. Amethyst Crystal Balls are a good color to open the inner mind to Universal Intelligence. Wiccans identify the practice of gazing into a Crystal Ball as “scrying”.  Some say that natural “rock crystal” works better because its vibratory rate is more in tune with the human mind than crystal  which has been melted and formed into a clear crystal ball. Others, and I am one of them, feel that the completely clear crystal ball has more ‘depth’ to it, allowing one to look more deeply into it, bringing about a clearer visualization. You’ll have to decide what works best for you.

To attempt scrying relax entirely, try to make your mind blank, and focus your concentration on the Crystal Ball. While in a relaxed state, bring your mental focus to the issue at hand. If you are wholly relaxed and your psyche is open, you will picture an picture in your mind or “hear” the answer in your mind. Some psychics have reported actually seeing pictures within the crystal ball itself. This technique can also be employed using large crystal points.

PENDULUMS:

Pendulums are used generally for yes or no questions. A pendulum is any weight hanging by a light chain or a string of some sort. The psychic will suspend the pendulum loosely over the midpoint of a piece of paper or cloth which has been divided into sections labeled yes and no. Without moving the pendulum themselves, they ask a question and the pendulum will start to swing in one direction or another, indicating the answer.

One form of the pendulum prediction has been employed on pregnant women for many, many years. A needle is threaded and the spiritual person will hold this down-to-earth pendulum over the abdomen of the pregnant woman and ask whether the baby will be a boy or a girl. Normally, If the needle swings in a side to side, or back and forth motion, in a straight line, the baby is a boy. If the needle swings in a circle the baby will be a girl. This is also used by hanging the woman’s wedding band from the thread or another ring if she is not married. This is also very accurate. I use my rock quartz pendulum for this and, in thirty years, it has never been wrong!

All of these methods can be learned and are quite interesting and different ways to give psychic readings.
